Updated and larger, nice mix of standard and hard to find items. Hardware,materials and clothing selection is unique. Modern store with a hint of old world Amish influence.
Good's Store is a clean general store. No food section, but it has toys, clothes, fabric, décor items, kitchenware, bedding, curtains, hardware, paint, shoes, candles. For me, they tend to be on the pricey side for some items, but when they have sales, they are fabulous. I recently purchased 3 photo frames that were 30% off of regular price. I also purchased a few little knick-knacks for small gifts. They have many unique little gift items.
Always enjoy a visit. Fabrics and housewares; lighting and sporting goods; work clothes and garden supplies: the essentials of a self-supporting community, perhaps. And toys—but no (or few) electronic toys, maybe few electric toys, too. The chosen simplicity of the surrounding communities narrows and deepens the selection, I think. It is, or has been, the only store I've visited where I could buy a washboard intended for washing clothes and not hand-painted to be hung on a wall for decoration.
Good prices with a large selection of items, can find most anything u might want...hardware, clothing, small appliances, fabrics, notions, gifts and more.
We come here for toys for the grandkids; a replacement belt sheath for a multi-tool; flannel shirts; glassware and sheets; shades and globes for lamps. One friend said he found here in one place what would have taken visits to several stores, all to set up his new home. Good's sells the things you need for everyday life.
I live in Texas and always enjoy coming here to shop when I visit my son and daughter in law. It's a great place to shop for crocheting yarn and sewing projects. The people are super friendly. I shop there every time I come to visit.
